The number of free listings you receive depends on whether you are a private seller or a business seller, and whether you have an eBay Shop subscription. See our Fees for private sellers and Fees for business sellers articles to learn about free listing allocations.
How it works
We won't charged a listing fee if you still have an allocation of free listings available in a given month. However, you may still need to pay transaction fees when your item sells.
The following will count against your monthly allocation of free listings:
- New listings
- Manually relisted items
- Automatic renewals and relists if you're a business seller
- Listings that you end early, or we end early
- Duplicate identical auction-style listings (even if one or more of those listings doesn't appear on eBay immediately)
Terms and exclusions for free listings
Here are some other things you should be aware of:
- If you're a private seller, automatic renewals of your fixed price listings and automatic relists of your auctions are free (we don't charge a listing fee or deduct from your free listings allocation for the automatic renewal or relist)
- All existing selling limits on your account still apply, and may prevent you from using your entire allocation of free listings
- You can't use your free listings in the following formats and categories:
- Classified Ad listing format (free for UK-based private sellers)
- Property listings (free for UK-based private sellers)
- Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles categories
- We charge fees for any optional listing upgrades and supplemental services you choose, for example:
- Adding a reserve price to your auction listing
- Adding a second category to your listing
- Buying and printing postage labels through eBay
- Listing for a short duration (1 or 3 days)
- Promoting your listings using Promoted Listings
