Are you a seller looking to make a counter-offer to a buyer? Read our article on adding Best Offer to your listing
If a seller sends you a counter-offer, you'll find the offer in your Messages - opens in new window or tab.
Responding to a counter-offer
You can accept, reject, or continue negotiating by making another offer to the seller. Here's how you can respond:
- Accept and commit to buy – Select Buy it in the counteroffer message
- Negotiate – Make another offer to the seller
- Reject – Select Reject offer in the counteroffer message
You can make a total of 3 offers on most items, or 10 in most Motors categories.
Tip
If you accept a counter-offer, you’re committing to buy the item and you’ll need to complete payment like any other eBay purchase.
If you don’t respond to the seller’s counter-offer, it’ll expire after 24 hours, or when the listing ends - whichever comes first.
